Earthy Food-lover's Wedding Inspiration at Smock Alley Theatre
Another one from the BASH archives, this story was shot at the glorious banquet hall at Smock Alley Theatre, in 2014, by The Campbells . It’s a great example of how to do a casual-feel dinner, with perfect social distancing at the table… and because you’re doing small numbers in a lofty space, the sense of occasion is strong, despite the chilled table concept.
Smock Alley has these great long tables already in place; the benches, too; though you could swap these out for some hired-in dining chairs, for a comfier / somewhat more formal look. We chose to embrace the warmth of the wood, with this shoot, bringing in earthy veggies and flowers by our boy Mark (The Garden), to display alongside traditional willow squibs, handmade earthenware and chunky wooden candlesticks.
The spread, created by the team at the Cake Cafe, is a beautiful as the decor, here… look at those dainty hexagonal biscuits!
